Grooming

Ok Guys, you’re men with a mission to remain totally gorgeous!

You may already have the bone structure and body made in heaven, but for routine grooming,

here are a few basic tips we have put together.

Hair Care

trust_me.jpg•Keep  it clean, wash and  condition on a regular basis using good quality product, how regular depends on factors such as hair type, work and social environment.

•If you have never visited a good stylist, do yourself a favour pay the price, they are well trained and seen it all before. You will get what you pay for. Communicate with them about your life and how you live it, let go of those preconceived ideas and go with it. You will feel a million dollars!

Facial hair

ist1_4653703_young_man.jpgNow here is a tricky one, this is very personal,

•Just keep it clean and tidy.

•Sideburns, mo's, beards, go-tees, eyebrows, clean shave or stubble, long or short, thick or thin, it's up to you,

•Get honest advice, and that's not from people who don't want to hurt your feelings.

•One thing is for sure, there are no good styling tips for nasal and ear hair, they are enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up..........which shouldn't be there either!!!

For one Slick Shave

ist1_945019_damn_facial_hair.jpg•After a nice warm shower is the best, but whatever the situation, warm and damp is the key......ooooohhhhh sounds good! doesn't it?

•First take a look at your stubble and check the way your beard grows. The general rule is to shave in the direction of your hair growth. So, general rule of thumb is up on the neck down on the face.

•Cleanse and exfoliate before shaving (if it's an exfoliating day).

•Apply himself27 shave in a thin even layer, don't use too much, it's a great product.

•Choose the sharpest tool in the box.....that's the new one, not the old rusty clogged backup!

•Ideally you need to use a new blade every 5-7 days, but a nice little tip if you're stuck, really stuck, soak the blade in very hot water, but we are talking about the perfect shave here so new one please.

•Keeping your skin as taut and flat as possible will give the best result

•Short strokes starting on the cheeks and sideburns then neck. By leaving the upper lip and chin until last you will give the cream a little extra time to soften up the heavier stubble.

•Remember to continuously clear the blade, give it a tap, then clear with warm water, it will be much more effective and stay sharp.

•Rinse your face with cool water and pat dry

•If you use an after shave balm then now is the time.

•Finally freshen up and protect your skin with himself27 moisturiser.

Finito!!!

bliss.jpgAgain this is a more personal area, there are a lot of men out there that will go to great lengths to take care of everything on show, but when the clothes come off, the earth moves for all the wrong reasons! And you’re left there wondering why your dream date just bolted for the door gagging!

•Get some honest advice.

•Many men now vist specialist shops and spas to control unwanted hair.

•There are many products and methods of controlling and removing unsightly body hair, it’s easy if not painless at times, but well worth the effort. If you are in a relationship your partner will love you more for it, guaranteed!

Nails

nails.jpgNext to the covertly hostile nose hair hanging out of your nose, dirty nails and untidy cuticles are a big turn off.

•Clean finger nails are essential for any man.

•Get into the habit of checking and cleaning your nails every day. The best way of cleaning the nails is to clean them immediately before or after the shower using a fingernail brush.

•Keep nails trimmed!  Weekly trimming of nails with a nail clipper or scissors is usually sufficient. The nails should never be more than about 3 mm in length or the ends of your finger tip. To avoid a severe beating from partner, file the edges of the nail with an emery board.

•Cuticles are the outermost layer of skin that protrudes above the nail surface and when the nail grows the cuticles dry out and become ragged. They should not be removed; ideally they should be pushed back, using a few drops of good cuticle oil and a cotton bud push towards the finger joint.

•If you're not sure, a great way to get the practical know how is just to splash out on a manicure to see how it's done, it won't cost a fortune and the advice will last a lifetime.

•Remember this if nothing else, biting nails is not an option!

Skin care for the body

ist1_2867435_full_body_mud_wrap.jpgArguably The most important and effective way of keeping healthy skin is hydration from the inside.

•Drink plenty of liquids, preferably water.

•Your body sheds thousands of dead skin cells daily; some may need a little gentle persuasion with the use of a soft body brush, no need for sandpaper (although a nice 240 grit does feel very nice on occasion).

•Follow with a moisturising body lotion.

•Protect skin from extreme weather

Feet

ist1_3894183_feet.jpgFeet are often ignored, but are one of the most abused parts of your body (unless you are very very lucky man). If you have problems with feet, you have no excuses,

•Anti bacterial foot washes, shoe inserts and breathable shoes all help.

•Dry hard skin can be dressed and treated.

•Nails should be cared for and kept trimmed with clippers. A common ailment with toe nails is a fungal infection, which is very unsightly, but treatable, the secret is if you spot something, treat it quickly as it gets progressively difficult to beat.

A thought to finish

One other important benefit of the grooming process is, If during "your time" you spot anything out of the ordinary, get down to the doctors, the goal is not to be Drop..."dead"....gorgeous!
